You are great at what you do. You know your stuff and if you are a member of the Connected Woman Association, I know it too. But do others?

The most powerful way that you can boost your credibility is to have OTHER people qualify you as the expert that you are.

Been a guest on a podcast? Nominated for an award? These are all ways to show that other businesses and organizations acknowledge you as an expert in your field.

Here are just a few ways to stand up and stand out.

1. Have testimonials and endorsements on your website and on your marketing materials. Word-of-mouth is far more effective than any advertising statements.
2. Lots and lots of visuals. Post pictures and videos of you doing what you do best –  on social media, your website etc. – working with clients, speaking at a workshop, podcast guest.
3. Share client success stories. Posting case studies shows that someone who worked with you got results.
4. Highlight awards, recognition, position appointments, certifications. Let people know that you’ve been recognized for  your expertise.
5. No awards yet? Ask a colleague or friend to nominate you for an appropriate award. You can do the same for them. *if you live in British Columbia, Canada, email me and I will send you a list of current awards for women.
6. Publish! Publish! Publish! Get it out there for the others to see. Submit blogs/articles to other publications. Comment on influencers’ posts with your thoughts and opinions related to the post. And if you haven’t already – start your own blog.
