The Only Constant is Change

in Cathy's Blog

It’s not that we aren’t used to change. We have lived with it since birth and we fully recognize that in order to grow, we must certainly change. But as human beings, we prefer to face change on our own terms. We prefer to have more control.

“The world is too big for us, too much is going on, too many crimes, too much violence and excitement. Try as you will, you get behind in the race in spite of yourself. It’s an incessant train to keep pace … and still, you lose ground. Science empties its discoveries on you so fast that you stagger beneath them in hopeless bewilderment. You’re out of breath trying to keep pace. Human nature can’t endure much more.”

The reality is the vast majority of our daily decision making is to adapt to the changing environment around us.

  – Take risk every day. Without risk there is not reward.

  – Respect your goals Plan for them.. Never take them lightly.

  – Don’t worry about being the best. Just do your best.

  – Focus on what you can control and leave the rest.

  – Plan for tomorrow but live for today. Enjoy the journey.

And remember … the only constant is change.
