International Women’s Day: Inspire Change
Change starts with one person doing one thing to make a difference.
With social media being a huge part of our method of communication, it’s really easy to ‘spread the word’ but, will you put your words into action?
How can you make a difference in your part of the world? Mentorship to women entrepreneurs? Volunteer as a Big Sister? Participate in programs that inspire initiative, self confidence and courage?
As business women, I know that we are working hard to make our business endeavors a success. Our time and money are definitely at a premium. “So how can I inspire change?” you ask.
Let me suggest that a simple statement like “I believe in you.” can inspire change.
A handwritten note with the words “You’re Awesome!” can be the tipping point in someone’s career. A 20 minute cup of tea where you do the listening and not the talking can have a huge impact.
Be a role model. Be the person your ten year old self would idolize.
My personal theme for this year is “Mission Possible”. I’ve chosen this phrase because is embodies ALL the great ideas and intentions and says – “You can do it. It is possible.”
I believe we can do it. Women entrepreneurs are the movers and shakers of this world. We can Inspire Change.
Happy International Women’s Day!
